i kept it mostly under wraps for awhile until all parents were told the news, and no date is set yet, but… Michael and i are getting married. The only “decisions” we’ve come to thus far is that we both want to get married when it isn’t unbearably hot out, and that we don’t want it to be a gigantic extravaganza with 200 guests. i can also say for sure that the wedding will NOT be outside. i’m not playing Russian roulette with Mother Nature, i’m allergic to things, and me being comfortable outside if it’s not 20 degrees out is ot at all likely.

i’m excited about all of this, even more so after telling my parents went so smoothly. i dunno why i was so nervous about telling them, but i was for some reason. In the end it turned out that i had no reason to be nervous. Whew!

That’s about it for now. i have a million things to do around here. Cooking dinner for five people when you have no dishwasher leads to a lot of dishes that pile up.

It looks like the rainy season is coming to a close. Goodbye comfortable temperatures. You’ll be sorely missed, but, we’ll see you again on your brief visit in the winter. Back to my office feeling like an oven…

On the upside, I’m wrapping up a project. Like, right now. It’s always a good feeling when a project comes to a close. Now I just have to start pumping out the next one. Read More »

It’s July in Florida, which means bring on the rain. It’s the time of year where my pit bull refuses to go outside because of possibly getting his feet wet (he’s very prissy that way), and when my Golden Retriever bounds around outside and returns soaking wet. It’s always the fluffy ones that take hours to dry that like the rain.

There is a bright side, though: the wonderful overcast skies keep the house from getting too hot. For ages, my complaint was that the house never got below 76 degrees. These days, with the lack of sun, the house rarely gets warmer than 72. LOVE IT. And I love the irony that it’s hotter in here in April than it is in July.

To be honest, it’s a pretty uneventful summer, thus far. But it’s early.

i’m sad to think i won’t be cheering for Sylar this fall. Thankfully there’s Star Trek 2, but i don’t recall Spock poking at people’s brains.

Anyhoo… Seeing Heroes cancelled, i googled to see which other series have gotten the axe. Read More »
